Black is not a colour

Black is not a colour. Black is an emotion, a statement connected to a sharp sense of self-expression, independence and power. Black is also the symbol of contradiction and oppositions. Black is attractive and sensual but can also be rejective. Black is worn by the fascists and it is also symbolizing anarchy.
Black is like a shadow in a photograph erasing all details and creating a subtle tension in the image, or like a break in music, a fragment of silence to rhythm a composition.
The use of black in clothing and fashion goes back faraway in costume history and is still fashion incarnate and always very stylish.
The little black dress is a perfect illustration of the use of black in fashion. The little black dress was never out of fashion and always a favorite amongst designers. Black is Style.
